This photograph is by David Graham. I love how there's so much going on in this picture, but the first thing you see is the dog licking its face. There's this random kid screaming in the background and im sure this lady next to the dog is probably the kids mom. But all I can look at is the cute little scotty licking its chops.
This is a photograph by Philip-Lorca diCorcia. The lighting is beautiful on the model. Incredibly dramatic. And the blue light coming from the background is amazing.
This is a photograph by Tim Davis called pretty boy. Its from his Kings of cyan portfolio. I like this because of its portrait like quality.

Journal 1

So, this is my first journal.. They'll get better as the semester progresses. I promise.


This reminds me of the human abstraction stuff I did, but less wrinkly. I really like how peaceful this image is. Simplicity in body shapes interests me.

This is the kind of stuff I want to do this semester. Like staged portrait, fashion-esque stuff. But not fashion. If that makes sense.

I love close ups. They're so personal and intimate. This is another thing I want to do this semester with my portraits.
